A Very Random Origin Story

Our origin story feels ancient now. It has always felt random.
In a bar in Washington DC, a World Bank analyst told an American freight consultant about two IT engineers from a big Indian outsourcing company. The two IT engineers wanted to start their own company.
It was around 11 PM EST/8:30 AM IST. The American freight consultant borrowed an international calling card to ring one of the IT engineers.
A few days later, we were in business together writing scripts to clean messy datasets. Over the years, we've worked in every corner of the supply chain and with every type of freight and customs transaction.
After 18 years in the supply chain, we've been wrong — at least four times — that the supply chain would abandon EDI transactions within three to four years. EDI transactions are still a mainstay of the supply chain, albeit without much evolution.
